My Commitment

As a Candidate for the CFP® Professional designation, I am bound by the ethical standards set by the CFP® Board.

Fiduciary Duties

I shall always act in a fiduciary manner, meaning, I shall act in the best interests of my clients. All my engagements with the clients shall be fee-only and I shall not earn commission through the sale of products or by referring clients to other professionals, such as attorneys, insurance agents, etc.

Conflict of interest

My client’s interests are my interests and I shall not have a conflict of interest with those of my clients. If the possibility of a conflict of interest arises, it shall be divulged and the client’s consent shall be sought in advance or the engagement shall be limited in scope to avoid such a conflict of interest.

Privacy and Confidentiality

It is my obligation to maintain the privacy of the client and confidentiality of the financial information of my clients. Under no circumstance, I shall reveal the identity of my clients nor shall I discuss the clients’ financial information with others, unless otherwise legally required.

It is my belief, one of the biggest hesitations to discuss personal finances with an outsider is the fear of exposing our personal financials and the potential for losing confidentiality of such information. My clients are not bound by the same privacy rules and are free to refer me to others, if they choose to.
